What makes Rung different from other health apps?

Most apps dump data on you and hope you figure it out. Some charge £200+ a year and need their own hardware. Rung actually coaches you. It reads your Apple Health data, scores you across the markers that matter, and tells you what to focus on   today. Less dashboard, more coach.

Do I need a CGM?

No. Rung uses signals your Apple Watch already captures — heart rate variability, resting heart rate, VO2 max, sleep, activity. Glucose is one marker of metabolic health. The behaviours that determine every marker are what Rung coaches. No  patches, no kits, no consumables.

How is Rung different from Levels, Zoe, or Whoop?

Levels and Zoe measure glucose. Whoop measures recovery. Rung is the only one that takes the signals you already have and coaches you on what to do with them. £9.99 a month, against £25–£200+ once hardware and consumables are factored in.

Do I need an Apple Watch?

For now, yes. Rung is built around the data Apple Watch generates — sleep, heart rate, HRV, VO2 max, activity. iPhone alone won't give you the full coaching. (Android — we hear you. It's on the roadmap.)

How does the AI coaching actually work?

What happens if I miss a day?

Is my health data safe?

Yes. The raw HealthKit data on your watch and phone never leaves your device. Only the daily aggregates we need for coaching — steps, sleep, active minutes, heart rate signals — are sent encrypted to our backend. We don't sell it. We don't share it with advertisers. We don't train external models on it.
