How do I connect my health data?
When you first open Rung, you'll be asked to grant access to Apple HealthKit. You can also manage this at any time by going to your iPhone's Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → Rung.
What data does Rung use?
Rung reads steps, exercise minutes, active energy, sleep, resting heart rate, HRV, weight, and blood pressure from HealthKit — all in read-only mode. Your data is never sold or used for advertising. See our Privacy Policy (/privacy) for full details.
Is my health data shared with the AI coach?
Only if you choose to enable it. During onboarding, you'll be asked whether you consent to sharing summarised health data with our AI coaching service. You can change this at any time in Settings. When enabled, summarised data (not raw records) is sent securely via our servers — never directly from your device.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed through Apple. Go to your iPhone's Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Rung. You can change or cancel your plan from there.
How do I delete my account and data?
You can delete your account from within the app by going to Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes all your data from our servers and clears local data from your device.
How do I export my data?
Go to Settings within the app and tap Export Data. Your data will be exported in JSON format.
What devices and iOS versions are supported?
Rung requires an iPhone running iOS 18.0 or later. Apple Watch is supported but not required.
Health data not showing up?
Make sure HealthKit permissions are enabled: Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → Rung. Toggle on the data types you'd like to share, then reopen the app.
Notifications not working?
Check that notifications are enabled: Settings → Notifications → Rung. Make sure "Allow Notifications" is turned on.
App crashing or behaving unexpectedly?
Try closing and reopening the app. If the issue persists, make sure you're running the latest version from the App Store. Still stuck? Email us and include your device model and iOS version — it helps us track down the issue.
